This transfer bench is designed to bridge the gap between the outside and inside of a bathtub. It uses a sliding rail system that allows the user to sit down safely outside the tub and then glide into the showering area. This movement helps prevent the risk of tripping over high tub walls.
The seat includes a swivel function that adds another layer of mobility, allowing the user to turn toward the bathroom floor before sliding. This combination of sliding and rotating makes it easier for caregivers to assist or for individuals to manage their own transfers. The frame is built to span standard tub heights.
Constructed with durable materials, the bench is intended to withstand constant exposure to water and humidity. The seat surface is textured to prevent slipping while wet. This catalog entry highlights a tool focused on fall prevention for those who find stepping over a bathtub rim difficult or dangerous.
